"The holiday was fabulous as always"

The holiday was fabulous, we stayed at the Excellence Punta Cana and cannot fault it any way, it was fabulous and I would definitely recommend it to anyone - you must go. I did have a few issues with Jumbo Tours who are the transfers and "rep" on site - they are really just a taxi company but other than that everything was fabulous. I will definitely use Blue Bay Travel again also - you get a brilliant deal and fantastic service - as always

"Does not live up to the hype..."

Does not live up to the hype pre-booked. Staff great very attentive, food Average! Should be hotter especially when it is cooked to order!! Some Restaunts better than others, the long pants rule for dinner is not enforced at every Restaurant. And in my opinion should be removed and replaced with Smart Dress Shorts with a smart Shirt with collar, due to the climate. Entertainment poor!! For a 5 Star Hotel. Location great!! Fantastic for Beach Lovers, all the pools are very clean, and the usual daytime activities can be had. Our Room 3012 in the Adults only Club Section with Plunge Pool and Jackuzi, Mini Bar with International Spirits Upgrade was great!!! Jumbo Tours should have provided a CAR for the Airport Transfers but it was a battered Mini Bus, and called at other Hotels en-route, ( We paid £4.110. 00) and at £200 plus per night I don't think we got what we paid for.

"mexico unico"

Sayed for 10 days at the Unico resort Rivera Maya - splendid resort - rooms to die for excellent facilities, adults only with activities pool and more relaxing pool both amazing - even managed the pool Pilates - good fun. The butler service was included however this was poor and could have been utilised more if explained - yes dinner reservations help, but we still had some late dinners due to availability. The Butler service we witnessed other being asked about having mixology in their room , pillow menu and even running a bath for them !!! Although we didn't get this info I would not pay extra t have this service. Pillow menu was requested but never materialised. Restuarants the service varies and this is a concern as some service was adequate where as others went the extra mile. Loved the Mura House and the Italian- Mia Casa - food and menu excellent, service fab as was the Mura House -Mexican disappointing due to poor service and no Mayan coffee offered which were told is excellent. Beach is gorgeous and views are amazing - relaxation is order of the day - lovely resort

"Excellence El Carmen"

Came here same time last year (end of September beginning of October) & it’s dropped a star for us. Our reasons & thoughts are it’s because of the low occupancy. Check in was a bit poor but soon remedied give them their do the staff are always trying to make it right if there is a problem. Quite a few of their restaurants are closed at night due to the occupancy levels so are the bars scattered around the complex. So obviously there is a lot less choice even though we’ve paid the same money. The entertainment crew are still as good as ever but you can tell the hotel is running at at half speed? Perhaps the bad press the island has received of late will be water under the bridge soon & the Dominican Republic will recover. It’s such a beautiful island & it’s people are so genuinely warm & friendly.

"Excellent location and even better..."

Excellent location and even better service from staff. The hotel has been reburbished and is gorgeous in its neutral tones. There are 5 restaurants- Japanese, Italian, Mexican,French ( isnt really) and mixed - mainly steaks- food is generally well cooked and very well presented, there are some interesting combinations... The public areas are really clean ,as are the rooms which are well stocked with soft drinks , optics and snacks. All toiletries are Bulgari , and it was great having hair straighteners and robes available. Its also useful to have the resort credits for the spar, hotel shops, trips etc although you do have to pay tax (16%). Plus point re departure tax - we didnt need to pay any despite being flight only (Tui). Great holiday ,fabulous hotel.

"Excellente"

Everything at the resort was “excellente” and the staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Service is their top priority and it’s not intrusive but there as soon as you want something. Food quality and variety is very good, with virtually everything you could ask for. If you venture out of the resort, it’s a very different world from that you are insulated from.

"Amazing, love this place."

Great service pre booking especially around room type and golf tee off times. Second visit here, love it. The food, service, rooms and facilities are immaculate and magnificent. Fantastic choice of restaurants across the resort and the fact that you need to take the mini bus, or your golf cart, to some, makes it more of an event to go out for dinner. Hope to return in January 2020!,
